#Demonstrator: #Traceability in Semiconductor #SupplyChains 🔍

A defect is detected ☑️

But can you really answer:
👉 Where does it originate?
👉 Which exact units are affected?
👉 And which partners need to be informed?

In today’s semiconductor supply chains, #production is highly distributed across multiple partners.
Traceability often ends at company boundaries, data is fragmented, and component relationships are incomplete – making root cause analysis slow and uncertain.

Our Traceability Demonstrator in SEMICONDUCTOR-X addresses this by establishing a continuous digital thread from wafer to module across the entire value chain.

In a representative multi-partner supply chain setup, the demonstrator shows how:
✅ wafers, dies and modules are uniquely linked via #DigitalTwins
✅ traceability information is securely shared across partners via #EDC
✅ failures can be traced back to the exact #wafer position
✅ forward and backward tracing enable precise impact #analysis

And the impact is significant:
➡️ without traceability: Risk of recalling whole lots with thousands of chips
➡️ with digital traceability: only a handful of units need to be recalled
👉 Less mass recall. More precision. Better decisions.
