Fraunhofer IIS is developing a demonstrator in the context of the SEMICONDUCTOR-X project, will be showcased live at HANNOVER MESSE
🎯 Focus: AI applications built on the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) – interoperable, standardized, and designed across the entire semiconductor value chain. 🔎Use Case 1: Data-driven production planning across complex supply chains By combining probabilistic demand forecasting with stochastic optimization, the system generates robust decision support for: 🔹Production and inventory planning 🔹Scenario comparison 🔹Supply chain design ✅Goal: Global optimization despite uncertain demand and long lead times.
🔍Use Case 2: Improving process transparency between material supplier and fab. Using tabular machine learning and explainability methods, the demonstrator enables: 🔹Quality prediction 🔹Identification of process parameters influencing quality 🔹Tailored information in the CoA for downstream process steps ✅Goal: Higher quality and better cross-company alignment.
Built on IDTA, Catena-X and SEMI standards – extended with dedicated submodels for forecasting and optimization.
