From #RawMaterial to #FinishedProduct – Cross Data Ecosystem Communication in Action

Together with Chem-X Projekt and Decide4ECO we showcase that a seamless data flow between different data ecosystems is practically feasible.
▶️ Automated. Standardised. Ready for real-world decisions.

#Demonstrator: Our Cross Data Ecosystem Demonstrator makes it tangible – PCF data is transferred along the supply chain from a raw material supplier to a chip manufacturer on to an OEM.
👉 A Digital Material Passport (#DMP) is provided by Chem-X
👉 In SEMICONDUCTOR-X, all Product Carbon Footprint values – including DMP data – are consolidated across the entire semiconductor manufacturing process
☑️ The resulting PCF data of a produced chip is then made available to Decide4Eco for further applications, such as the production of a HiFi headphone
☑️ All data is exchanged in a standardized format using the Asset Administration Shell (AAS)

Prof. Dirk Reichelt from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden sums it up:
“Seamless cross data ecosystem communication is the key to efficient data exchange along complex supply chains. The demonstrator showcases such integration across multiple Manufacturing-X projects – securing the interoperability and resilience of global value chains.”

This demonstrator goes beyond a standard proof-of-concept: Behind the scenes, two independent operating companies — HTW Dresden and Smart Systems Hub — each with their own onboarded participants, enable true data exchange across multiple data ecosystems, reflecting real-world industrial complexity.

Cross-ecosystem data exchange is no longer a promise. Come see the proof
